Privacy and Cookie Policy
At IFE Istanbul Institute of Finance (İFE), we highly value the privacy of our visitors. Although our website is not yet live, we have prepared this Privacy and Cookie Policy draft to clearly explain how we plan to collect data and use cookies when our online platform becomes operational in the near future. This policy outlines the principles regarding the processing of personal data of individuals who visit our website or use our online services, as well as our use of cookies.
Scope and Purpose
This Privacy and Cookie Policy explains what personal data we may collect when you visit our website, how we use and protect that information, and with whom we may share it
The privacy section provides information on how we process visitors’ personal data, and the cookie section explains what cookies are, which types of cookies we use for what purposes, and how you can manage your cookie preferences.
Personal Data Collected from Visitors and Purposes of Processing

- Cookies and Similar Technologies Data: Information collected viacookies during your interactions with our site (see the Cookies section below for details). This data helps us recognize you on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and customize your online experience. For instance, if you selected a preferred language previously, a cookie might store that preference so that the site is displayed in that language on your next visit.
- Contact Forms and Registration Information: If, in the future, our site includes a contact form or user registration, we may ask you to provide personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, etc. Such information will be processed in order to deliver the product or service you requested, respond to your inquiries, or handle your registration/application.
- Customer Account Data: (Applicable if you will create an account on our site) Information like username, password, and profile details that you provide during account setup. We will use this data to manage your account, deliver services according to your preferences, and ensure your account’s security.

The personal data we collect is processed in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). By using our website, you consent to the data processing practices described in this Privacy Policy. (If you do not agree to these practices, please do not use our site.) These service providers may have limited access to data only to perform services on our behalf. All such parties are obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of the data and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.
- Legal Obligations: If we are required by law to respond to valid requests from authorized authorities (such as court orders, regulatory requests) or to comply with a legal obligation, we may disclose certain personal data as necessary.

Cookie Policy
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files used to store small pieces of information. They are stored on your device when the website is loaded in your browser. When you revisit the same website, these files are sent back to the website by your browser, allowing the site to recognize you and remember important information that will make your use of the site more personalized and convenient.
In simpler terms, cookies enable a website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size, and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to re-enter them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.
Which Cookies We Use and For What Purposes
Although our website is not yet live, we anticipate using various types of cookies on our online platform once it launches. The categories of cookies we expect to use and their purposes are as follows:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies are essential for the basic functioning of our website. They enable core functionalities like user login, shopping cart usage, and payment processing. Without these cookies, the services you have asked for (such as adding an item to your cart or e-learning content access) cannot be provided. These cookies do not require your consent as they are necessary for the operation of the site.
- Functionality (Preference) Cookies: These cookies allow our website to remember choices you have made in the past, such as your username, language preference, or the region you are in. They provide enhanced, more personal features and help us tailor our site to you. For example, they may save you from re-entering information every time you visit the site, by remembering your preferences and settings.
- Analytics/Performance Cookies: These cookies collect information about how visitors use our website, for instance which pages are visited most often, and if visitors get error messages on certain pages. They help us measure and improve the performance of our site. The data gathered by these cookies is generally aggregated and anonymous. For example, we might use Google Analytics or similar third-party analytics services; these providers set their own cookies to perform this function. (If Google Analytics is used, data may be transmitted to and stored on Google’s servers abroad; we will ensure compliance with KVKK’s rules on international data transfers when applicable.)
- Advertising/Targeting Cookies: Currently, we do not plan to use advertising cookies on our site; however, in the future, if we engage in advertising or re-targeting campaigns, such cookies may be employed. These cookies would be used to deliver advertisements that are more relevant to you and your interests, or to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns[49]. They may be set through our site by advertising partners (for example, cookies from platforms like Google or Facebook). If and when we use these types of cookies, we will do so in accordance with the law, obtaining your consent where required, and providing detailed information about their use.
Some of the cookies we will use are session cookies, meaning they are temporary and only remain on your device for the duration of your browsing session; they are deleted once you close your browser. Others are persistent cookies, which stay on your device for much longer or until you delete them. Persistent cookies help us recognize you on subsequent visits, so that we can, for example, keep you logged in or remember your preferences for future sessions.
We may also utilize third-party cookies on our site. This means that some content or services on our site might be provided by external providers, and those providers may set their own cookies. Examples include embedded videos, social media plug-ins, or analytics services as mentioned above. In the case of third-party cookies, the respective third party’s privacy and cookie policies will apply to the data collected. However, we will inform you about such cookies and obtain consent when required before they are utilized on our site.
Managing Cookie Preferences
You have the freedom to control and manage cookies as you see fit. Most web browsers allow you to:
- Adjust browser settings to block new cookies from being placed on your device, delete existing cookies, or notify you when new cookies are about to be stored. You can usually find these settings in the “options” or “preferences” menu of your browser. For detailed instructions, refer to your browser’s help documentation.
- Please note, however, that if you choose to disable or refuse cookies — especially the strictly necessary or functionality cookies — some features of our website may not function properly or at all. For example, you may not be able to use certain secure areas of the site, proceed to checkout, or use services that require login if cookies are disabled.
- Once our site is live, we plan to implement a Cookie Consent Management tool. This will appear as a cookie banner or pop-up when you first visit our site. Through this tool, you will be able to choose which categories of cookies you consent to. You will also have the option to change your preferences later at any time.
- In fact, at any time, you will be able to click on a “Cookie Preferences” link (which we plan to place in the footer of our site) to modify or withdraw your cookie consents. This means if you initially accepted certain cookies and later change your mind, you can update your preferences and our site will honor those changes immediately.
- Regarding “Do Not Track” signals: Currently, our site’s systems do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” requests or similar mechanisms. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we will not treat it as a disablement of cookies; you will need to adjust your cookie settings directly as described above to control tracking. Should our practices change in the future, we will update this policy accordingly.
Policy Acceptance and Updates
This Cookie Policy will come into effect once our website becomes operational. We may update our Privacy and Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law or our services. The latest version of the policy will always be available on our website, and we will indicate the effective date of each update. Changes will become valid as soon as the updated policy is posted.
If we make significant changes (for example, begin using a new type of cookie or change how we handle personal data), we will strive to provide a prominent notice, such as a pop-up or banner on our site, to inform you. However, by continuing to use our site after any changes to this policy are posted, you will be deemed to have accepted the revised policy terms.
In summary: Protecting your privacy is our priority. Your personal data will be kept secure in line with this policy and our KVKK Disclosure Statement, and your cookie preferences will always be respected. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please feel free to contact us.
